Stunning display from Rafael over took the win against Aalborg. Rafael even took his display over Berbatov’s brace debut. Such a lovely game play from the Brazilian youngster. Rooney’s first goal in CL this season made the mark in the game, brilliant assist from Giggs.

Van der Sar had a very quite evening, he was not very busy as our back four played well, maintained the defensive coolly. Ferdinand and Vidic was solid as usual. Evra and Rafael lead the attack from behind. Both of them made few good run upward, gave option for passes in the midfield. They were all over the field. However, I guess Rafael had better game than Evra, further more it was his European debut for him. Man Utd can bank him for future games for years.

Midfielders was good too. I missed Anderson, I think he was rested for the game against Blackburn this weekend. Selecting of O’shea was pure surprise. We think Gibson should be given chance. Anyway, O’shea did good too, less mistake which he famous for. Scholes was unlucky, got injured just 15 minutes into the game. Intro of Giggs was expected as SAF told Giggs will be more to midfield player for this season than winger player which he was for past 10 years. Nani was lost that night, easily worst player for Red Devil in this game.

Berbatov did as strikers need to do, smash the ball into net when you have chance. His two goal had the sublime finish which Man Utd been lacking since Ruud van Nistelrooy left. Rooney goal was really cool. He kept his composure, drilled the ball grounder for the first goal of the game.
